Windows XP Service Pack 2 was released to manufacturers on Friday and will be deployed to customers in a few weeks via Windows Update.

This is a large download and it should only be installed by folks who consider themselves power users. If you’re hesitant to install the biggest Windows XP update ever, you’re not alone. To get it in a few weeks the normal way, just make sure “Automatic Updates” are turned on and Windows will take it from there.
